PROD100 - Product Manager, One-AAA

Position located ideally in: Nokia Siemens Networks Office, Berlin, Germany
Reporting to: Policy Product Line Manager

Purpose of the Role:

The Product Manager has business responsibility of the One-AAA product and key role in the following tasks:

  • Profitability and competitiveness
  • Screening customer requirements, analyze market and competitors
  • Planning product releases in alignment with Product Line strategy
  • Features analysis and prioritization
  • Product backlog ownership
  • Supporting sales organization

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating release strategy and product roadmaps by screening customer requirements and analyzing market/technology/competitors
  • Planning product releases in alignment with Product Line Strategy
  • Ownership of the Product Master Plan
  • Managing possible product and/or release content changes during product creation
  • Management of external roadmap commitments, ensuring the customers and NSN’s needs are met.
  • Maintain competitive intelligence reflecting changes in competitive offerings and in NSN’s product positioning.
  • Work closely with R&D to ensure that the product requirements are complete and monitor the implementation to ensure it fulfils the requirements.
  • Develop and maintain go to market plans for all new product offerings.
  • Establish and maintain a clear pricing strategy for each product offering.
  • Define, develop and execute technical customer workshops around the One-AAA and the policy-related product portfolio.
  • Support the Solution Management Team in defining and establish a clear set of ecosystem/solution partners, as appropriate, for each product offering.
  • Support the Solution Sales Team for customer-facing engagements, presentations, bid responses, etc…
  • Generate ‘master’ technical sales presentations for the One-AAA product and carry out technical sales enabling for the Solution Sales Team.
  • Manage the Product Management relationship with key internal and external partners, attending meetings and supporting customer engagements as required.
  • Manage cross functional (services, marketing, sales, legal, etc…) coherence to ensure that products are taken to market efficiently.

Key Skills:

  • Degree qualified in Communications Engineering, Telecommunications or appropriate related experience required.
  • 5+ years industry experience related to Product Management, Product Development and/or Technical Sales of telecoms-related solutions.
  • Good technical competence in AAA domain and system understanding for WiMax, xDSL and Mobile Core technologies.
  • Experience in product creation process, product management tasks and sales organizations
  • Experienced and comfortable giving technical presentations to customers and large organisations.
  • Willing to travel at short notice both internationally and domestically.
  • Good written and oral communication.
  • Methodical and well-organised.
  • Open mind and capability to adapt in a changing and challenge working environment
  • Relationship oriented person , strong team player and communicator
