Apertio One-EIR
Apertio One-EIR (Equipment Identity Register) provides a standards-based implementation of a GSM Equipment Identity Register, enabling the sharing of equipment identity information across networks to prevent the use of stolen or lost handsets.
The database assigns individual and/or ranges of IMEIs (International Mobile Equipment Identifiers) to certain lists (white/grey/black). This system may then be queried (using the standard MAP operation, CheckIMEI) to determine the status of the particular handset.
